Her expertise is further strengthened by two decades of leadership experience in the high-tech sector.
As a Captive Manager and CEO, Renea provides strategic oversight and operational leadership across all aspects of captive insurance, including feasibility analysis, formation, licensing, and long-term management of captives and Self-Insured Groups. She is known for her precision, regulatory acumen, and unwavering commitment to delivering technically sound, customized solutions for complex national and international risk management programs.
Renea is a highly influential industry leader and advocate for the captive insurance profession. She currently serves as Chairman and Director of the Oklahoma Captive Insurance Association, Director and Officer of the Nevada Captive Insurance Council, and Chairman of thge Western Region. She is also a former two-term Chairman and Director of the global organization CICA. In addition, Renea has served two terms on the Board of Directors of the International Center for Captive Insurance Education (ICCIE) and continues to contribute through service on its Marketing Committee.

Captive AP/AR Manager
Tonya has extensive AP/AR experience in a variety of industries and has been a part of the Sotera team for 11 years. She brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to her position as a manager. Tonya is responsible for entering transaction details, reconciling accounts, and monitoring and analyzing account information for our clients.
Tonya interacts with clients and the accounting department to ensure that all information is received and processed in a timely manner. She coordinates with vendors and clients, assists with audit and tax and quarter-end close.
Tonya is enthusiastic and a team player with excellent communication and problem solving skills. Tonya is a dedicated and creative problem solver with a passion for data analysis.

Senior Captive Accountant
Charlotte has been preparing financials for more than 30 years. Charlotte works in the financial management of captive insurance companies. She also works to ensure compliance with regulations and to provide accurate financial reporting.
Charlotte is known for implementing solutions that improve workflow efficiency. She is hard working and a driven individual who isn't afraid to face a challenge.

Captive Accountant
Marisa brings over seven years of experience in GAAP accounting, financial reporting, audit support, and internal controls within manufacturing and insurance-related environments. She began her career supporting workers’ compensation and insurance operations, where she built a strong foundation in compliance, reconciliations, and regulated financial processes.
Throughout her career, Marisa has managed month-end close processes, supported large-scale revenue audits, and partnered with external auditors to ensure accuracy and adherence to internal controls. She has also contributed to ERP implementations and system enhancements, helping standardize journal entries and reconciliations, improve efficiency, and strengthen financial reporting.
Marisa takes a detail-oriented, compliance-focused approach to her work. She collaborates cross-functionally to deliver accurate financial statements and reliable reporting. She is known for improving processes, enhancing data integrity, and maintaining the consistency and trust essential in regulated insurance and captive environments.

Client Services Specialist
Jewel brings over 12 years of experience in the insurance industry, along with a strong foundation of knowledge and a proven ability to build and maintain lasting professional relationships.
In her role as a Client Relations Specialist, she serves as a trusted point of contact for clients, assisting with day-to-day needs, facilitating clear and timely communication, and helping ensure a consistently high level of service.
